The British Columbia Knowledge Development Fund (BCKDF) is the primary provincial mechanism that provides matching funds to federal research infrastructure investments.
With BCKDF-funded infrastructure, the university is well-equipped to train the next generation of researchers and highly qualified personnel, support private-sector innovation, and contribute to the social, environmental and economic prosperity of the province, and strengthen British Columbia’s position in today’s economy.
BCKDF will fund up to 40 per cent of a project's total eligible research infrastructure costs. UBC researchers must apply to BCKDF when they apply for CFI funds.
